IIT Madras, ISRO launch Fluid And Thermal Science Research Centre

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have jointly established the Fluid and Thermal Science Research Centre (FTSRC) to enhance research in fluid and thermal sciences, crucial for space technology. This collaboration aims to foster innovation in areas like propulsion, aerodynamics, and heat transfer, which are vital for the development of space missions. The centre will not only focus on research but also on developing indigenous technologies, reducing dependency on foreign technology, and nurturing talent through education and training programs.
