Inmate found dead at OK County Jail Saturday night
- OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. ( KFOR) - An inmate died in the Oklahoma County Jail Saturday evening, his death is under investigation. According to the Oklahoma County Department of Corrections, 37-year-old Vincent Riggie was found dead around 7 p.m. This is the second inmate death for 2025 at the Oklahoma County Jail.
An inmate was found dead in his cell at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a Sunday morning, as reported by the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. The 58-year-old man was discovered unresponsive during a routine check at around 7:30 a.m. Despite immediate medical attention from jail staff and emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death remains under investigation, with no signs of foul play or trauma evident at the time. The man had been in custody since the previous Friday, facing charges of larceny from a retail store. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist with the inquiry into his death.
