Leading North American MSO Selects Procera's PL8920 for Network Expansion
PacketLogic™ Platforms Achieve Unprecedented 50 Gbps Throughput Density in a 2RU Appliance Using Multiple 10GE Interfaces
FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 21, 2012) - [ Procera Networks ], Inc. (
"Cable operators face a highly competitive landscape," said David Ahee, Vice President of Sales Americas at Procera. "They require sophisticated network analysis tools to ensure a high QoE for their subscribers, while enabling engineers to evolve the network to meet these demands and optimize their infrastructure investments. Without detailed network traffic analysis, cable operators risk delivering sub-standard services that can result in customer churn."
The PL8920 supports Procera's PacketLogic Intelligence Center with PacketLogic Report Studio that provides network operators with a detailed understanding of subscriber, device, application, and location-based analytics. PacketLogic Report Studio delivers print-ready reports, including executive overviews, detailed technical analysis, and even the performance of different content delivery networks, which enables operators to dramatically increase subscriber QoE.
The PL8920 is a highly scalable 2RU appliance supporting up to 50 Gbps of network traffic throughput accessible through six modular I/O slots that are configurable with up to 12 x 10GE or 24 x 1GE interfaces. This configuration represents 25 Gbps of throughput per rack unit, setting a new industry benchmark for IPE/DPI platform throughput density.
