Lantronix Bolsters Executive Team With Vice Presidents of Sales and Product Management

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 14, 2011) - [ Lantronix ] (NASDAQ: [ LTRX ]), a leading global provider of smart connectivity solutions that enable business and technology professionals to access any device, anywhere, anytime, today announced three new hires to the sales and product management teams. The addition of these individuals will strengthen Lantronix' world-class leadership and help cultivate new sales and product strategies.

  • Robert Robinson joins as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, where he is tasked with leading the global strategy and execution of Lantronix' worldwide sales, distribution and channel efforts. Robinson brings more than 20 years experience to Lantronix, having previously served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales and Marketing for GlobalTRACK, a wireless M2M provider. Prior to that, he has held Vice President of sales and general management positions with Crossbow Technology (now a division of Moog), D-Link, Arrow Electronics and Ingram Micro. He holds a B.S. in business and management from Pepperdine University.

  • Mak Manesh joins as Vice President of Product Management, bringing over 20 years product management and development experience to Lantronix. Manesh most recently served as Director of Networking Division for Newport Electronics, a leader in high-precision test, measurement, process control and automation instrumentation. He also spent more than seven years at Lantronix as Product Manager, and has held product management and marketing roles with Compunet Solutions. He is tasked with leading the product management team on defining and driving Lantronix' global product strategy and executing on a long-term product roadmap. He received an M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.

  • Tom Buckley returns to Lantronix as Senior Director of U.S. Sales after a brief period as Director of Sales for Symmetry Electronics, a design-oriented, franchise-authorized distributor of electronic components. Buckley previously served as Director of Sales for Lantronix for more than eight years, specializing in OEM (embedded) sales. In addition to being Lantronix' top salesperson in 2010, he brings more than 25 years of technical, sales and marketing experience to Lantronix. He received a B.S. in biology from Northeastern University.
