THQ Names Angela Emery as Vice President of Corporate Communications

AGOURA HILLS, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--THQ (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced that veteran public relations executive Angela Emery has been named Vice President of Corporate Communications, reporting to President and CEO Brian Farrell. Emerya™s responsibilities will include overseeing all corporate communications for the company. With more than 20 years of public relations experience, including 15 in the interactive entertainment industry, Emery is a strong addition to the management team.

Emery comes to THQ after eight years at Disney Interactive Studios where, as Vice President, she led global communications for the interactive entertainment division of The Walt Disney Company. Emery oversaw corporate communications while reporting to the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the division and led numerous successful public relations campaigns for original award-winning games such as Disney Epic Mickey and Split/Second.

Emerya™s career includes successful executive roles at major game publishers, including Fox Interactive and Sega of America. She also managed public relations strategies for Microsoft Game Studios while at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide.

Emery holds a bachelora™s degree from the University of Arizona.

THQ also announced that Julie MacMedan, Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications will be leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity. The company plans to hire a new investor relations professional who will report to Paul Pucino, THQa™s Chief Financial Officer.
