Dialogic Announces SoTel Systems as a North American Distributor of DiaStar(R) Server
SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - February 16, 2011) - [ Dialogic Inc. ], (
SoTel specializes in supplying and supporting the needs of the open source development community by adding value with complete open source IP and hybrid solutions. The DSS fits perfectly within SoTel expertise by providing open source developers with a new range of signaling, media, audio, and video transcoding services to complement and enhance the Asterisk and FreeSWITCH platforms. DSS is compliant with the Woomera open protocol and can operate in conjunction with any project or product that implements a corresponding Woomera client. The DSS allows developers access to video conferencing, video processing, call progress analysis, SS7 and SIGTRAN signaling, while developing in their native development environment.
"We have already seen strong interest in the DiaStar Server, and we are delighted to add the solution to our portfolio of products," said Ben Koeneker, Director-Strategic Business Development at SoTel Systems. "By working together, we are making enterprise/carrier grade reliability and functionality accessible to the open source community."
"SoTel Systems' strong customer relationships and demonstrated expertise within the market will help expedite access to the DiaStar Server," said Antony Martin, Director of Product Development, Open Source Solutions at Dialogic. "Developers are in need of a solution which allows them to enhance their open source telephony projects to develop applications like IVVR, video surveillance, mobile advertising, video conferencing and more, and the DiaStar Server does these things, and does them well. We're enthusiastic about SoTel Systems' ability to bring this solution to the open source community, and look forward to a longstanding relationship."
