LONDON--(Marketwire - January 27, 2011) - [ iPass® Inc. ] (
As part of the expansion, iPass has added free Wi-Fi venues at leading hotels, airports (such as Lisbon Airport and Vienna International Airport), transportation hubs (such as London St. Pancras International Rail Station), cafes, and municipal Wi-Fi locations in Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Lisbon, London, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna and Tallinn, Estonia. With the iPass Open Mobile Platform, mobile workers can connect instantly and securely to the iPass Mobile Network without having to navigate walled garden web pages or disclose personal, time-consuming information.
"Increasingly, carriers are moving to tiered-pricing data plans, at the same time mobile device innovations are improving screen resolutions, video capabilities and ultimately driving increased data demands and usage by mobile users," said Rene Hendrikse, vice president of EMEA at iPass. "Our customers are demanding more predictability and control of their enterprise mobility costs. With the expansion of our OpenAccess service we are increasing the opportunities for our customers to leverage the growing free Wi-Fi footprint and ultimately decrease mobility costs within their organizations."
