WATERLOO, ON, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - RDM Corporation (TSX: RC), a developer of specialized software and hardware products for electronic payment processing, announced today that it has appointed Randy Fowlie to the Company's Board of Directors, effective immediately.

"He has spent the past decade as a consultant, executive and director focused on helping technology companies achieve their growth objectives."

Randy Fowlie has operated a consulting practice since 2006. He previously held the position of Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media, of Harris Corporation (formerly Leitch Technology Corporation), a public software and hardware company. From 1998 to 2005 he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Inscriber Technology Corporation, a software company acquired by Leitch in 2005. Previously Mr. Fowlie was a partner with KPMG LLP, Chartered Accountants, where he worked from 1984 to 1998.

Mr. Fowlie sits on the boards of Open Text Corporation, Dalsa Corporation and Semcan Inc. He received a B.B.A. (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University and he is a Chartered Accountant.
