Rutter Announces $US 2.2 million contract award

ST. JOHN'S, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - Today, Rutter Inc. (TSX: RUT) announced that it has received orders from a major prime defense contractor in the aggregate amount of $US 2.2 million. Delivery is expected to commence in the fall of 2010 and to be completed within Rutter's fiscal year. With this award, Rutter has sales orders in hand valued in excess of $15.5 million dollars due for delivery within the current fiscal year.

Commenting on the recent award Fraser Edison, President and CEO noted "Rutter is a proud supplier of assemblies in use by the Canadian, United States and other international armies. With these orders for assemblies destined for a new generation of blast-protected light armoured vehicles, the Company is building on its 20 + year history of supplying to the defense industry. We have a solid track record with a strong plant and high productivity and we are aggressively looking for more business both in defense and other industries" he concluded.
