OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - International Datacasting Corporation, (TSX:IDC) a global leader in providing advanced solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content via satellite, announced today that it will be showcasing its expanded product line at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) ShowTM, taking place in Las Vegas, April 20 to 23.

The NAB ShowTM is produced annually by the National Association of Broadcasters, (NAB). NAB is a trade association located in Washington, D.C. that advocates on behalf of more than 8,300 free, local radio and television stations and also broadcast networks.This is the broadcast industry's largest annual gathering and an important showcase for new technologies.

IDC will be featuring its award winning SuperFlex, Datacast XD and PROFLine product families along with a broad suite of advanced DVB-IP applications for broadcast data, radio and video at NAB 2009. SuperFlex is IDC's flagship family of advanced, open-standards based products for implementing complete end to end DVB-IP content delivery via satellite and/or terrestrial networks. Datacast XD is a complementary set of software products for multimedia content management and sitribution over satellite a swell as other point-to-multipoint distribution networks. The PROFline products feature advanced digital audio compression and related data services for professional broadcast applications.

IDC will be showcasing the following at NAB 2009:

- IPTV applications - Complete head-end solutions as well as a family of interoperable dual mode DVB-S and S2 receivers for the secure and efficient delivery of both SD and HDTV live and Video on Demand (VOD) content over satellite. The IPTV solutions also feature high throughput M:N redundancy for fail-safe operation of large numbers of channels over multiple transponders with MPEG2 and MPEG4 AVC encoding, a choice of industry standard decryption/CAS options, transport stream transcoding to IP and built-in IP multicasting for ease of integration with Telco and CATV and other broadband IPTV distribution networks.

- Digital Cinema applications - Complete end-to-end solutions for the delivery of both file encoded (i.e. JPEG2000 DCP) movies as well as live 2D and 3D alternative content events for digital cinema and e-cinema applications. Key features include ultra high speed dual-tuner receivers, multiple layers of encryption/CAS for extra security, built-in "on the fly" forward error correction using IDC's flagship Datacast XD software and DVB-S2 8PSK or 16APSK delivery. IDC will be unveiling the latest addition to the Superflex Pro Cinema product line, the Pro Cinema Caching Server, a high capacity integrated caching server for digital movie file distribution.

- The SuperFlex Pro Cinema 3D Live Encoder and Decoder, with leading Sensio® 3-D technology onboard, will be a highlight of the IDC booth. The Pro Cinema Live line of products expands the range of offerings for digital projector equipped cinemas by delivering high quality stable 3D live content at half the bandwidth of other approaches that have been tried before. The SuperFlex Pro Cinema 3D Live Encoder and Decoder supports both 2D and 3D live and pre-recorded events, which allows movie houses and other venues increased new revenue opportunities via alternative content programming. IDC, along with Sensio, will be showcasing its live 3D products and technology at NAB this year. Visitors to the IDC booth will be able to view all of the action in the booth and on the surrounding show floor in live, high definition 3D

- Expanded SFX Pro Video receivers - Developed specifically for professional video distribution applications, the SFX Pro Video line of DVB-S/S2 receivers feature hardware decoding of MPEG2 and MPEG4 AVC SD and HD video in a single 1 RU high 19-inch rack configuration complete with an integrated hard drive for drop and insert store and forward applications. The Pro Video line of receivers now include file playback capabilities as well as enhanced decoding of IP video input streams. The SFX Pro Video features a choice of IP, DVB-S or S2 satellite and ASI inputs and a multiple outputs that include IP, ASI, component video, HDMI and HD-SDI. Ideal for SD and HDTV broadcast as well as live digital and e-cinema applications.

- IDC will be showcasing the SFX Pro Video 4104, an extension of the core Pro Video product line. Already installed in networks around the world, the 4104 enables the distribution of both pre-recorded files and live events to be delivered on two separate carriers, which provides operational flexibility and reduced capital costs for theatre owners and operators.

- Professional radio network applications- IDC's SuperFlex Pro Audio and PROFline's suite of products and applications together provide the most advanced offering of solutions available in the world for professional radio broadcast network applications. A feature of the IDC booth will be the SFX EXP Pro Audio satellite receiver which features DVB-S or S2 delivery and up to 4-channels of audio(four stereo pair or up to 8 monos) resulting in IDC's lowest cost per channel receiver for larger networks that require the features needed for combined store and forward/live assist and live streaming broadcasts.

- Expanded SFX Pro Audio Receivers - Now available in a 2 stereo pair configuration with an integrated hard drive for split copy insertion, IDC will be demonstrating its IP based DVB-S/S2 digital audio receivers for professional radio broadcast networks. Audio codecs include MPEG2 Layer 2, 3 and AAC as well as MPEG4 LC-AAC, HE-AAC/AAC Plus versions 1 & 2 plus Enhanced apt-X. Livewire from AXIA is also included for low delay and high reliability distribution of digital audio over Ethernet to minimize cabling and eliminate audio distortion caused by high electrical noise environments.

- Expanded PROFline professional FM Radio products - PROFline BV will be presenting its complete line of products for FM Radio broadcast, and satellite distribution for customers in Europe and around the world. The latest developments in the family of professional radio network products from PROFline includes IP controlled FM radio demodulators, stereo encoders, and RDS encoders as well as solutions for CATV radio distribution and FM emergency warning systems. The updated family of satellite products includes a new DVB-S compliant receiver for ETI distribution in DAB/DAB+/DMB networks, MPEG4HE-AAC Audio satellite receivers and 7/15 channel MPEG4HE-AAC audio encoder & multiplexer rack system.
