L-3 Orders Increase Backlog at VDC

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--VDC Display Systems, a division of Video Display Corporation (NASDAQ:VIDE), reports that firm booked order backlog has substantially increased after being awarded $2.1 M dollars in additional orders from L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) for visual display systems and accessories for the Navy F/A-18 and Air Force F-16 full-mission trainers for delivery over the next 12 months. The training simulators provide for a typical range of training maneuvers – from formation flight, air refueling, weapons delivery, air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, emergency procedures, and take-off and landings. VDCDS has extensive experience delivering projection systems worldwide used in many commercial and military trainers, as well as complete solutions for a broad range of applications.
