Imation to Present at Storage Visions 2009

OAKDALE, Minn.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN), a worldwide leader in removable data storage, A/V consumer electronics and accessories markets, today announced that one of its senior storage experts will present at the Storage Visions 2009 Conference this week at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. Subodh Kulkarni, PhD., vice president of Imation's Global Commercial Business, will speak in the session, "Optical Storage: Higher Definition is Survival!" on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 4:20 p.m. PST.

A veteran in the industry and a holder of seven U.S. patents, Kulkarni will participate in a discussion surrounding Blu-ray recording media and its consumption worldwide. In particular, Kulkarni will address Imation's participation in the Japanese market, where Blu-ray disc has gained significant market share, and what challenges and opportunities Blu-ray disc faces for future global adoption.

Imation also will exhibit its Apollo™ Expert UX external hard drive, named a finalist in the Storage Visions "Art of Storage" awards category, as well as Imation next-generation Solid State Drive (SSD) and Wireless Projection Link products, in Booth 16 at Storage Visions 2009.
