Video Display Corporation Announces Appointment of Murray Fox to Board

ATLANTA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Video Display Corporation (NASDAQ: VIDE) today announced that Murray Fox, CEO of the Company's Fox International Ltd. subsidiary has been appointed to fulfill the remaining term of Director Ervin Kuczogi. Mr. Kuczogi, who directed the Company's consumer TV tube operations for nearly 25 years and assumed the duties of Corporate President for 7 years through June 2007, has also relinquished his responsibilities as Company Director effective December 1, 2008.

"Erv's expertise in operating CRT plants has helped to make VDC what it is today. The Company's intent to close the last remaining color television tube plant located in the United States is the end of an era of 5 decades of profitable US operations," said Chief Executive Officer Ron Ordway. He will remain as the manager of the Color tube operations during the remaining months of manufacturing and its intended closure."

Murray Fox has been appointed to serve out the remaining tenure of Mr. Kuczogi's term as Company Director until the Company's next annual meeting of Shareholders in August 2009. Mr. Fox has served as the founder, President and CEO of Fox International for over 50 years, both as a private distributor of consumer electronic parts and as the CEO of the subsidiary since its acquisition by Video Display Corporation in 1988.
