Redback Networks Wins Telecom Asia Readers Choice Award

SAN JOSE, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Redback Networks,an Ericsson company (NASDAQ:ERIC) providing video-centric routers for 75 percent of the world's largest triple-play networks,today announced that its SM480 Metro-Ethernet Service Transport product has been voted a "Network Innovation of the Year" award winner by Telecom Asia Magazine.

The Telecom Asia Readers' Choice Awards recognize technology innovations and contributions from top telecom equipment suppliers operating in Asia Pacific. As part of the special editor recognition awards, Network Innovation nominations were made by analysts and winners were chosen by the Telecom Asia editorial team. The winners were selected based on quality of innovation and contribution to technological advancement, market acceptance, revenue growth, vision, and industry leadership and performance in 2008.
