The Indian Ministry of External Affairs expressed deep sadness over the death of a Nepalese student, Bijay Kumar, in Odisha, who was allegedly beaten by his seniors at a private college. The incident, which occurred on 13 May, led to Kumar's death on 23 May after he succumbed to his injuries. The ministry is closely monitoring the situation and has been in communication with Nepalese authorities, offering full cooperation in the investigation. The Odisha Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the case, and the college has been shut down temporarily. The Indian government has assured that those responsible will face appropriate legal action.
