Two nonprofit organizations announced that they would team up to publish climate-related research to further a congressionally mandated assessment that had been gutted by the Trump administration.

Scientists from various institutions have expressed concerns over the Trump administration's approach to climate change, particularly in light of a recent assessment that downplayed the urgency of the issue. The assessment, released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), suggested that the impacts of climate change are less severe than previously thought, a stance that contradicts overwhelming scientific evidence. They emphasize the need for accurate, evidence-based assessments to guide policy decisions and stress that the current administration's policies could have long-lasting detrimental effects on the environment and public health.
