Two nonprofit organizations announced that they would team up to publish climate-related research to further a congressionally mandated assessment that had been gutted by the Trump administration.

Scientists from various institutions have expressed concerns over the Trump administration's approach to climate change, particularly in light of a recent assessment that downplayed the urgency of the issue. Researchers argue that this report could undermine efforts to mitigate climate change and delay necessary action. They emphasize the need for accurate, evidence-based assessments to guide policy decisions and stress that the current administration's policies could have long-lasting detrimental effects on the environment and public health.
