OSI Systems Receives Approximately $2.8 Million Contract from Asian Civil Aviation Authority for Advanced Baggage Inspection Sy

HAWTHORNE, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ OSI Systems, Inc. ] (NASDAQ:OSIS), a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the Security and Healthcare industries, today announced that its security division, Rapiscan Systems, has been awarded orders for approximately $2.8 million to provide state of the art baggage and parcel X-ray inspection systems to a civil aviation authority in Asia. The systems to be provided include Rapiscana™s high speed MVXR 5000 Explosives Detection System for screening of checked passenger baggage and Rapiscana™s 600 series X-ray scanners, used for screening of carry-on passenger baggage.
