WebTech Wireless(R) Announces Agreement to Change the Composition of its Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 12, 2011) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services and telematics technology, today announced that following discussions and arrangements with certain shareholders of the Company, the Company has agreed to support a change in the Board of Directors of the Company effective immediately. The Company's Board of Directors has received resignations from Glen Brownlee, Paul Christie, Dru Narwani and Peter Roberts from the Board and has appointed John Gildner and Robert Kittel as Directors of the Company.

Effective immediately, the Board of Directors will be composed of Scott Edmonds, John Gildner, Andrew Gutman, Robert Kittel and Leonard Metcalfe (the "New Board of Directors"). Andrew Gutman will be the Chair of the New Board of Directors of the Company.

Glen Brownlee, the outgoing Chairman of the Board, stated: "Following discussions with certain of our shareholders, and internal discussions with the Special Committee, the Board and WebTech Wireless management, the Board determined that a reconfiguration of the Board was in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders."

The Company would like to thank Glen Brownlee, Paul Christie, Dru Narwani and Peter Roberts for their contribution, commitment and excellent service to the Company and its shareholders during their respective tenures as Directors of the Company.

The New Board of Directors has also reconstituted its standing Special Committee of Independent Directors to consist of Andrew Gutman, Robert Kittel and John Gildner.
