Oracle Announces Oracle's PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management 9.1 Feature Pack

To help increase employee productivity, improve period close processing and further automate compliance and financial controls, Oracle today announced Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise [ Financials ] and [ Supply Chain Management ] (FSCM) 9.1 Feature Pack 2011.
[ Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.1 ] is the most significant release of PeopleSoft in the last ten years, and to continually deliver new capabilities and value to meet the changing business needs of customers, Oracle now plans to deliver Feature Packs between major releases.
The PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 Feature Pack 2011 includes the delivery of a new installation version, recertification of upgrade scripts and additional support for customers upgrading to PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.1.
Adoption of PeopleSoft 9.1 is over four times faster than previous PeopleSoft releases across all products. More than 1,200 customers are live on or deploying PeopleSoft 9.1. In addition, the customer base is expanding with over 350 new customers selecting PeopleSoft applications over the last 12 months.

PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 Feature Pack 2011 Features and Details

PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 Feature Pack 2011 offers significant new features and capabilities to PeopleSoft 9.1 customers prior to their inclusion in PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.2.
New capabilities in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 Feature Pack 2011 include:
- [ PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management ], a new application within Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Supply Chain Management suite, helps improve inventory accuracy and labor productivity by automating mobile inventory transactions for users of Microsoft Windows-enabled mobile devices and handheld scanners.
- Enhancements to [ Oracle's PeopleSoft Strategic Sourcing ] module with capabilities around managing documents associated with requests for quotes/information and bid analysis and award functionality that gives users more control and security over their sourcing events.
- Important integrations that streamline the financial planning and period end close processes. [ Oracle's Hyperion Planning ] is now integrated to PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 enabling customers to plan and manage organization budgets at all levels. Additionally, [ Oracle's Hyperion Disclosure Management ] is now integrated with PeopleSoft Financials, allowing customers to support XBRL financial statement reporting to regulatory bodies. [ Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management ] can help PeopleSoft customers improve the management of the period close tasks. This new solution is now integrated to PeopleSoft Financials to enable users to execute processes in PeopleSoft and update related tasks in Hyperion Financial Close Management.
- Extended automation of financial controls through the expansion of the configurable and graphical approval framework and financial audit trail in the financial flows.
- Enhanced support for global deployments for Europe, Asia and North America.
- [ PeopleSoft Services Procurement's ] new web services following HR-XML standards simplify financial settlement by enabling organizations to electronically receive and validate contingent worker timesheets from supplier timekeeping applications.
- [ PeopleSoft Project Costing ] provides accelerated financial processing of massive project data volumes and complex revenue contracts with a new summarization and variance pricing framework associated with transaction collection, costing and re-pricing.
- The addition of configurable "bonus depreciation" rules in [ PeopleSoft Asset Management ] enables organizations to lower the cost and effort of adapting to new legislation as soon as it is enacted.
Oracle has also released two versions of PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management for the Brazilian and Argentinean markets. These releases include all of the functionality included in the core PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 release but also incorporate significant localizations for these regions.
