MRVa?s Optical Communications Systems Division Appoints David Stehlin to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

(Pink Sheets: MRVC) (aMRVa or the aCompanya), a leading provider of optical communications network infrastructure equipment and integration and managed services, today announced the appointment of David Stehlin to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MRVa™s Optical Communications Systems (OCS) division, effective immediately. Stehlin will be responsible for leading the global sales and marketing functions and will report directly to Barry Gorsun, President of MRV OCS.

Stehlin has over 20 years of telecom industry experience in executive management, product management, marketing and sales strategy and M&A. Prior to joining MRV OCS, he was the CEO and president of Ceterus Networks from 2003 to 2008, where he led the sale of the company to Overture Networks. Following this transaction, he guided the merger process as president of Overture Networks from 2008 to 2011, using innovative sales and marketing strategies to build a carrier Ethernet edge market leader. From 1999 to 2003, Stehlin was president and CEO of Valo, Inc., preceded by OnePath Networks; both organizations were venture-backed telecom start-ups focused on building and developing access systems for major communications service providers. From 1994 to 1999, he was president of Keptel, a division of Antec (now Arris Group), where his leadership helped the company secure the initial Bell Atlantic Supplier Excellence Award. Stehlin holds a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from National University.
