Special Guest Appearance by NFL ESPN Analyst and Former Pro Linebacker Matt Millen at United Way Youth Football Clinic Presente
LEHIGH VALLEY, PA--(Marketwire - June 7, 2010) - [ RCN-Pa. ] (
Millen, born in Hokendauqua, PA and raised in the Whitehall, Lehigh Valley area, will be joining RCN spokesperson Ron Jaworski at the youth football clinic. The clinic will teach girls and boys, ages 7-14, the importance of perseverance, discipline and determination, which can help them reach their maximum potential.
"Among the clinic participants are three ten-person teams, sponsored by local businesses, that are made up of children affiliated with United Way agencies or school programs," said RCN-Pennsylvania's General Manager Randy Nungester. "These kids wouldn't otherwise be able to participate in the clinic so we are grateful that our local businesses are helping move area youth in a very positive direction for future success."
Nungester added, "Registration is still open online at [ www.jawsyouthfund.org/jawsfootballclinic ], although a limited number of spots are available. It costs $20 per child, includes participation in the clinic, a T-shirt, and a player gift bag, and lunch. All proceeds benefit the Jaws Youth Fund and the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley."
Spectators are welcome; the general public and families with children participating in the clinic can enjoy themselves in the Sponsor Village which is an interactive area that features a raffle and prize wheel, local area mascots, inflatable attractions, and food samplings.
