Schaeffer's Street Stories: Cree Settles Patent Litigation

CINCINNATI--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) and Boston University have settled their patent litigation with Bridgelux, and all claims and counterclaims have been dismissed. Under the terms of the agreement, Cree granted Bridgelux a license to the involved patents in exchange for a license fee and royalties. The 2 firms have also entered into a supply agreement, wherein Cree will become a major supplier to Bridgelux.
