Axesstel Introduces the Stylish 1xEV-DO Rev. A USB Dongle

SAN DIEGO--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Axesstel, Inc. (AMEX:AFT), a leader in the design and development of fixed wireless voice and broadband data products, extends its 3G modem line with the MV200 Series wireless broadband USB dongle.

Designed for diverse markets, the MV200 Series work with all USB port equipped computing devices to provide high-speed access to the Internet, email, data intensive application files and more at home, in the office or on the road. The USB modem leverages CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A technology and supports download speeds up to 3.1Mbps and upload speeds of 1.8Mbps. An available external antenna improves performance in weak signal areas whereas the convenient swivel USB connector allows for different modem orientation to enhance signal reception. Compact and pocket-sized with attractive mirror-like silver styling, the device can be transported easily. The MV200 USB Dongle Series is available in 450MHz (MV210), 800MHz (MV220), 1900MHz (MV230), and 800/1900MHz (MV240). Homologation samples for 450MHz are now available for field testing. Axesstel will be exhibiting the MV200 Series at Mobile World Congress ‘09 in Barcelona in February.

The MV200 Series is backward compatible with CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.0 and CDMA2000 1X. It has two LED indicators to show signal strength and call status, offers voice and text messaging through CDMA2000 1X, and supports a Re-Usable Identification Module (RUIM)card as an optional feature. The MV200 Series is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98, 98ME, ME, 2000, XP, Vista 32 and 64bit, and Mac OS.
