AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--IdentiPHI, Inc. (OTCBB: IDPI), an innovative leader in advanced authentication solutions for the enterprise, today announced that one of the world's largest telecommunication companies has selected IdentiPHI SAFsolution® 5 Enterprise Edition to provide biometric authentication in its call center operations in Latin America. The telecom customer purchased licenses of SAFsolution 5 in order to support 2,500 customer service representatives in the region.

IdentiPHI is working with Compufacil S.A. in Colombia, South America to deploy and implement a call center solution. Customer service representatives will use biometrics to access customer support applications and accounts, in order to provide greater security and protection for customer data. The call center infrastructure currently uses Citrix XenApp™ Platinum to publish key support applications and manage access for the representatives. By utilizing SAFsolution 5, a Citrix Ready™ product, and fingerprint readers from UPEK, the representatives can now verify their identity using a biometric fingerprint in order to gain access to the published applications.

"The customer believes that passwords are an unsecure method for providing access to their subscriber information," said Hector Montealegre, Unit Business Manager at Compufacil. "Because of the Citrix infrastructure in the call center and our position as a Platinum Citrix Solution Advisor, we chose to work with a Citrix Ready product to ensure easy integration and compatibility. SAFsolution works seamlessly with Citrix XenApp to provide the company an efficient and secure method to provide their customer service representatives access and quickly solve customer issues."

SAFsolution 5 Enterprise Edition provides an advanced authentication framework to improve security and convenience for network and application logon. Verified compatible with Citrix XenApp and Citrix Password Manager™, SAFsolution is designed to integrate easily with identity and access management applications. With support for a wide range of authentication technologies, SAFsolution enables customers to pick the authentication method that best fits their requirements and budgets.

"We continue to focus on finding recognized global partners that have the customers and technical expertise that are complementary with our advanced authentication solutions," said IdentiPHI CEO Christer Bergman. "This win with Compufacil, who was Citrix's partner of the year in Latin America last year, is representative of both the types of partners we want to work with, and the growing opportunities we are seeing from the call center segment in Latin America and around the world. Corporations with large call centers have recognized the flexibility and cost benefits that application virtualization solutions from companies such as Citrix provide, and are investigating technologies to ensure only authorized people access customer data. We hope to build on this success and develop new sales prospects in this emerging segment."
