  • NASA's two stuck astronauts took their first spacewalk together Thursday, exiting the International Space Station almost eight months after moving in. Commander Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore removed a broken antenna and wiped the station's exterior for evidence of any microbes that might still be alive after launching

NASA astronauts Tracy C. Dyson and Matt Dominick, who were initially stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) due to a malfunctioning spacecraft, successfully completed their first spacewalk together. This spacewalk, which lasted for six hours and 28 minutes, involved maintenance work on the ISS, including the removal of a faulty radio frequency group and the replacement of a bearing assembly on the station's solar array rotary joint. The astronauts had been aboard the ISS since March, with their return delayed due to issues with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, which experienced thruster failures and helium leaks. Despite these setbacks, the spacewalk was a significant achievement, showcasing their ability to adapt and perform critical tasks in space.
