The budget will also fund the development of new infrastructure, including hostels, academic buildings, and faculty residences. Additionally, the allocation will support the creation of more research fellowships, enhancing the research capabilities of these institutions. This move is part of a broader effort to expand educational opportunities and improve the quality of technical education in India, ensuring that these newer IITs can match the standards of their more established counterparts.
