Wireless Network Performance Study Ranks Call, Messaging and Data Quality Based on Customer Surveys
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to network quality in the West, Verizon Wireless ranks highest among U.S. wireless providers, according to the latest J.D. The West region includes Nevada and 15 other states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
The J.D. Power and Associates study measured network quality among all U.S. wireless service providers based on factors that impact overall carrier performance. Approximately 27,000 wireless subscribers were surveyed by J.D. Power and Associates between January and June 2012 about their experiences with wireless voice, text messaging and data usage. Based on their responses, Verizon Wireless performed significantly above the industry average in all six regions and ranked highest among national wireless companies in five regions, including the West.

The company's ongoing network investment totals more than $670 million in Nevada and more than $70 billion nationally since it was formed, which includes the introduction and continuous expansion of 4G LTE.
Verizon Wireless leads the way with the nation's largest 4G LTE network, covering more than 75 percent of the U.S. population and supporting a wide array of 4G LTE-enabled devices, such as the [ Samsung Galaxy S® III ] and [ DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE by HTC ], as well as [ HomeFusion℠ Broadband ], an in-home broadband service that harnesses the power of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
