About HiArt! Kids, Inc.
Now beginning its fourteenth year, HiArt!, lead by Cyndie Berthézène, its founder, has been the arts program of choice for many of New York's most celebrated families ([ www.hiartkids.com ]). Introducing children as young as 15 months old to the arts, HiArt! fosters an appreciation of the arts as a form of individual expression, while inspiring children to make choices, think independently and develop intellectual and aesthetic faculties. The program is distinguished by an inspired, interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates musical masterpieces, hands-on arts and movement. Over the past five years, Ms. Berthézène made HiArt!'s formidable programming available to at-risk children in some of New York City's most underserved public schools. In 2005 she founded THE TIME IN CHILDREN'S ARTS INITIATIVE, a New York-based non-profit organization providing the identical HiArt! programming to 200 public school children from Harlem and the Bronx (using HiArt!'s proprietary materials). Mr. Bellen has served on Time In's Board of Directors since the organization's inception.
