Octus Energy Completes Energy-Efficient Lighting Project for Contra Costa Community College District

DAVIS, CA--(Marketwire - July 14, 2010) - Octus, Inc. (OTCBB: [ OCTI ]), a leading smart energy efficiency company, today announced it has completed an energy-efficient lighting project for the Contra Costa Community College District, one of the largest multi-college community college districts in California. Octus secured the project through a competitive bid process.

"Contra Costa Community College District has shown that it is an innovative, forward-thinking leader amongst public entities by making this sound decision to significantly reduce its energy costs, and improve the light quality at one of its District offices through the use of updated exterior induction lighting," said Octus Energy Vice President of Energy Solutions Mananya Chansanchai. "We project the District will generate, net of PG&E incentives, a simple payback of 1.94 years with a 51% return on investment, which is the product of an estimated 70% reduction in electricity use of its exterior lighting system."
