NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 10, 2010) - [ RCN ] (
Up next on June 19 is the Park to Park Two Miler. This swim offers great views of both Manhattan and the Palisades and is timed for a tidal assist. The Park to Park Two Miler is a great way to move beyond 1.5-kilometer and 1-mile swim events.
The second annual Liberty Island Swim, a 1.2-kilometer counterclockwise swim around Liberty Island, the home of the Statue of Liberty, will be held on June 25. Participation in this event is limited to swimmers who have finished in the top 70% of a NYC Swim event in the past two years. For answers to frequently asked questions about these swim events, please see NYC Swim's [ FAQ ] page.
RCN has provided NYC Swim with valuable in-kind services, such as providing outreach about the swim events to its customers. It also helps support NYC Swim's preferred charity, [ Swim Free ], a new 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the health improvement of children and adults through swim.

About NYC Swim
NYC Swim organizes swimming events in the waters around Manhattan. Since 1993, NYC Swim has attracted well over 10,000 participants in more than 125 swimming races, thus helping to revive a local aquatic tradition that had been abandoned for nearly a century. Showcasing many of the sights that make New York famous, our premier events are the Liberty Island, Manhattan Island Marathon, Brooklyn Bridge and Governors Island swims. In addition, NYC Swim hosts seven other events of various distances in 2010 including a multi-sport race and the Ederle Swim.
