TARRYTOWN, NY--(Marketwire - June 1, 2010) - Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, announced that its Westcon Security business practice has been awarded "Distributor of the Year" by Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. (
As a distributor of Check Point since 1996, Westcon Group has been supporting the growth of both new and emerging Check Point partners for well over a decade. During 2009, Westcon increased its distribution revenue of Check Point solutions by 29 percent, the largest percentage among other distributors.
