Jenkins is a recognized expert in learning-based brain plasticity, behavioral algorithms, and psychophysical methods, as well as multimedia and Internet technology. Prior to co-founding Scientific Learning he was associate professor at the Keck Center for Integrative Neurosciences at the University of California – San Francisco. The other major contributing author to the blog is Sherrelle Walker. Walker has more than 30 years experience in education as a teacher, principal, and district-level administrator. She worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington, specializing in improving teacher impact in the classroom, and has served on the Executive Council of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), among several other boards in education.
