Merix Corporation: Merix Expands Scope of Key Military Certification MIL-PRF-31032

BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwire - September 30, 2009) - Merix Corporation (NASDAQ: [ MERX ]), a leading manufacturer of high reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs), announced today that it has successfully expanded the scope of the key military certification MIL-PRF-31032. The MIL-PRF-31032 certification establishes strict performance and verification requirements and was awarded in recognition of Merix' advanced quality management and production systems. Building on the certification first awarded to Merix in early 2008, the expanded certification now includes rigid, multi-layer PCBs manufactured using polyimide materials at its Forest Grove, Oregon facility. As a result, Merix is now certified across a comprehensive range of materials and technologies at all of its North American factories.
