  • The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, permission to mount an additional 16 new academic programmes and expand the carrying capacity of the existing academic programmes.

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved 16 new academic programs for Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, as announced by the institution's Rector, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri. These programs, which span across various faculties including Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, and Management, aim to enhance the polytechnic's capacity to meet the evolving demands of the job market and contribute to national development. The newly accredited courses include disciplines like Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Business Administration, among others. This accreditation is part of NBTE's broader initiative to ensure that Nigerian polytechnics offer relevant and high-quality technical education.
