  • Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has signed a bill converting the state-of-the-art Reference Hospital, Okene, into the Confluence University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital.
Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has signed into law a bill establishing the establishment of a Teaching Hospital in Okene, affiliated with the Prince Abubakar Audu University. This new legislation aims to enhance medical education, research, and healthcare delivery in the state. The signing ceremony took place at the Government House in Lokoja, where Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of this development for the health sector and the overall well-being of Kogi State residents. The establishment of the teaching hospital is expected to provide practical training for medical students, improve healthcare services, and foster medical research, aligning with the state's commitment to advancing its educational and health infrastructure.
