  • Japan's private company Space One postponed its second attempt to launch a rocket from a commercial spaceport in the western province of Wakayama on Saturday due to strong winds, according to local media.

The Japanese startup Space One postponed its second attempt to launch a satellite into orbit due to strong winds at the launch site in Wakayama Prefecture, western Japan. The launch, which was scheduled for the Kairos rocket, was called off just 20 minutes before the planned lift-off time. This delay follows a previous unsuccessful attempt in March when the rocket exploded shortly after launch. The company aims to be the first Japanese entity to successfully send a satellite into orbit, competing with established players like Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and the national space agency, JAXA. The next potential launch date has not been announced.
