Saudi Arabia is set to establish an international water research center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, aiming to address global water scarcity issues. This initiative, announced by Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, will focus on developing innovative solutions for water management, including desalination, wastewater treatment, and water reuse technologies. The center will collaborate with international experts and institutions to foster research, innovation, and the application of advanced technologies in water conservation. This move aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which emphasizes sustainable development and environmental protection, highlighting the kingdom's commitment to tackling one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.
