Media Alert: VPG to Showcase Standard and Custom Weight and Force Sensors for Medical Applications at CMEF Autumn 2011

MALVERN, PA--(Marketwire - Oct 20, 2011) - Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (NYSE: [ VPG ]) today announced that its VPG Transducers division will be demonstrating high-quality standard and custom Celtron, Revere, Sensortronics, and Tedea-Huntleigh brand weight and force sensors for medical applications in booths M64 and M65 at CMEF (China International Medicinal Equipment Fair) Autumn 2011 -- being held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 at the Fujian Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center in China.

VPG's sensors can be tailored to meet the mounting, connectivity, and accuracy requirements of a wide range of medical applications. The company's force sensors offer high accuracy and reliability for the monitoring of internal tube pressure in infusion pumps; blood pressure and heart rate monitoring; measurable rehabilitation evaluation equipment in physiotherapy; and feedback control units in prosthetics.

For patient weighing in hospital beds, stretchers, incubators, patient floor and ceiling lifts, and bathing aids, VPG's weight sensors offer easy-entry or hidden-from-view installation and don't interfere with X-ray equipment while weighing. For space-saving folding scales for wheelchairs, VPG Transducers offers weigh sensors with low profiles down to 20 mm.

Staff will also be on hand to answer questions about Vishay Foil Resistors, which deliver proven reliability and stable performance in DC/DC converters, feedback circuits, and precision amplifiers for a wide range of medical devices, such as cardiac mapping systems, furnace control units, 3D imaging, X-ray generators for CT systems, motor-driven equipment, intravascular cooling systems, ultra-sonic microscopes, and much more.
