African Customer Plans Major Upgrade of Evolving Systems' Dynamic SIM Allocation(TM) Solution
ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - May 11, 2010) - Evolving Systems, Inc. (
The initial phase of the DSA solution, which went live in June last year, allowed the operator to satisfy regulatory requirements by successfully implementing efficient allocation of numbers via the handset. The second phase of the project will extend the use of the solution to incorporate non-handset devices, such as mobile broadband dongles, via a web interface on the subscriber's PC or laptop.
The second phase of the project will also support number selection, allowing the operators' prepaid subscribers a choice when selecting their phone number. This will enhance the user experience as well as provide the operator with an opportunity to generate revenue through the sale of vanity numbers. The DSA solution will collect real time customer data enabling the operator to send targeted marketing messages and promotions directly to subscribers through the handset.
"This is an important order for both Evolving Systems and our customer as we are adding a significant amount of new functionality to our customer's DSA implementation," said Thad Dupper, Chairman and CEO of Evolving Systems. "Number selection and support for air card activations will greatly enhance the capabilities of our DSA platform and place our customer in an even more competitive leadership position."
