CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 31, 2009) - Wells-Gardner Electronics Corporation (NYSE Amex: [ WGA ]) announced that the Company made its first shipment of LCD products using their new Flip Video software to a major gaming customer.

"The Company has developed Flip Video software and new LCD A/D scaler board to allow our customers to realize considerable product cost savings," said Robert Lube, Wells-Gardner's Vice President of Engineering. "When the unit is rotated 180 degrees there is an auto detection system built into the electronics along with the new software that rotates the video 180 degrees, which allows our customers to use lower cost TN LCD panels while maintaining excellent visual results. The savings to our customers could be in the range of $40 to $55 per unit and many of our other customers are considering using this technology."

"This is an example of a further step in our strategy of developing proprietary products for our customers. The company has continued to invest in research and development despite our extensive cost cutting program and this is one of our first products we are unveiling," said Anthony Spier, Wells-Gardner's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are using new technology to improve our offerings to our customers and believe our new products will be quite attractive during these turbulent times as they will be valuable to our customers due to the cost savings and high quality. We expect to increase our LCD market share as a result of this development."
