HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - February 26, 2009) - XO Communications (OTCBB: [ XOHO ]) today announced that it has received its General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 award. Granted by the leading procurement body for the United States federal government, the GSA IT Schedule 70 contract enables XO Communications to sell its data and IP-based communications services to government institutions at pre-negotiated rates.

The GSA IT Schedule 70 was established to assist federal government agencies with their procurement of IT products, services and solutions. The schedule grants these agencies direct access to commercial companies who can provide a broad range of IT services and products. Through its GSA IT Schedule 70 contract, XO Communications will be empowered to reach an even wider range of government entities on a local, regional and national scale.
