IFT leaders said the scholarships are courtesy of their Feeding Tomorrow Fund, which encourages, promotes, and rewards the excellence of students pursuing careers in food science.

Two University of Florida students, Emily Brown and Michael Johnson, have been awarded prestigious scholarships in the field of food science. Emily Brown received the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Feeding Tomorrow Scholarship, which recognizes her outstanding academic achievements and dedication to advancing food science. Michael Johnson was honored with the American Association of Cereal Chemists International (AACCI) Scholarship for his innovative research in cereal science and technology.
