The Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology, Dr Murtala Ibrahim, has emphasized the critical role of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education in preparing Ghana's youth for a rapidly evolving world.
In a speech at the 2023 STEAM summit in Accra, Ghana's Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, emphasized the importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education in preparing the next generation for lifelong learning and innovation. He highlighted that STEAM education fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, which are essential skills for addressing future challenges. Dr. Afriyie also stressed the need for collaboration between government, educational institutions, and the private sector to enhance STEAM education across the country, noting that such partnerships would help in developing a robust educational framework that supports innovation and technological advancement.
