  • Mineola ISD hosted its annual "Science Extravaganza" event, featuring science projects from nearly 100 high school students, presenting dozens of projects to hundreds of elementary students. The projects range between everything from physics, engineering, robotics, and biology.

The Mineola Independent School District hosted a Science Extravaganza on May 12, 2025, which brought together high school and elementary students to engage in various science-related activities. The event featured hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and interactive learning sessions aimed at fostering a love for science among the younger students. High school students played a key role by mentoring and guiding the elementary participants through the activities, which ranged from simple chemical reactions to more complex physics experiments. The Science Extravaganza not only provided an educational experience but also encouraged collaboration and enthusiasm for STEM subjects across different age groups within the school district.
