Norfolk State University breaks ground on new $118 million science building

Norfolk State University broke ground on a new $60 million student wellness center on April 12, 2023, aimed at enhancing student health and wellness. The 76,000-square-foot facility, expected to be completed by fall 2024, will feature a fitness center, gymnasium, indoor track, and spaces for mental health services, nutrition education, and health promotion. Funded by both state and university resources, this project underscores the university's commitment to student well-being and is part of a broader initiative to improve campus facilities.
