The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) has recently unveiled a new super-specialty block in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This new facility, which spans 2.5 lakh square feet, was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The building, initially named the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, might be renamed in honor of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, following a suggestion by the current Chief Minister. The facility aims to enhance the institute's capabilities in providing advanced medical care, research, and education.
