Trocaire College has recently opened a new $1.5 million facility dedicated to its Veterinary Science Technology program, located at the college's campus on Abbott Road in Orchard Park, New York. This state-of-the-art facility spans 6,000 square feet and includes advanced equipment such as digital x-ray machines, a surgical suite, and a dental suite, all designed to provide hands-on training for students. The program, which has been in existence for 20 years, aims to prepare students for careers in veterinary technology, with the new facility enhancing the learning experience by offering real-world practice opportunities. The expansion was supported by a $500,000 grant from the state, and it also features a kennel area for animal care. This development not only improves the educational offerings but also addresses the growing demand for skilled veterinary technicians in the region.
