Andrew Garfield, Percival Everett and Attica Locke among L.A. Times Book Prize finalists

  • Andrew Garfield, Percival Everett and Attica Locke are among the finalists for the 45th Los Angeles Times Book Prizes.

The Los Angeles Times has announced the finalists for its 44th annual Book Prizes, showcasing a diverse array of literary talent across 13 categories. Notable finalists include actor Andrew Garfield for his narration of "All the Sinners Bleed" in the Audiobook category, Percival Everett for his novel "Dr. No" in the Fiction category, and Attica Locke for her crime novel "Heaven, My Home" in the Mystery/Thriller category. Other categories and their finalists include Biography for "King: A Life" by Jonathan Eig, Current Interest for "The Wager" by David Grann, and First Fiction for "The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store" by James McBride. The awards, which celebrate books published in 2023, will be presented on April 19, 2024, at the University of Southern California’s Bovard Auditorium.
