The case stems from an incident in 2016 where Babu alleges that Gopalakrishnan and his associates insulted him with casteist slurs during a business meeting. Babu claims that this verbal abuse led to significant mental distress and financial loss for his company, as the potential business deal was jeopardized. The complaint was filed at the Vidhana Soudha police station in Bengaluru, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. This legal action highlights ongoing issues of caste discrimination in professional settings in India.
