  • On December 4, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology launched Program PROPEL to scale Philippine innovations worldwide. The DOST conducted the program at the Maynila Ballroom of The Manila Hotel in Manila City.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in the Philippines has launched a new initiative called the Program for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial and Livelihood Development (PROPEL) aimed at scaling up startup innovations. This program seeks to bridge the gap between research and commercialization by providing startups with access to funding, mentorship, and market opportunities. PROPEL will support startups in various sectors including technology, agriculture, health, and manufacturing, by offering resources like prototype development, business development training, and networking with potential investors and industry partners.
